Since our establishment 11 years ago, our hub has consistently remained open during the summer holidays.
However, it wasn't until 2023 that we had the opportunity to
launch our first official summer holiday program, thanks to the generous support of the Million Hours fund.
This program was successful, attracting the participation of 100 children from across the community.
Our program consisted of a series of knockout tournaments with activities in rotation, including table tennis, pool, darts, and chess, culminating in an inclusive awards ceremony with a sing-along around a BBQ.
We organised numerous small group outings for children, including nature walks, Football in the park, visits to trampoline parks, and other local excursions.
We were able to provide healthy refreshments including sandwiches, smoothies and fruit.
