Headingley Leeds is a website edited by Headingley Deveopment Trust (HDT) with a very wide collection of information resources relating to the present day and Headingley's long history.

In its collection of pictures of local public parks in the area, there are two albums that relate to woodhouse Ridge, click on the link to open these in a new tab.

The contrast is quite extraordinary and reflects both the declining resources available to local authorities, (the Ridge once had a staff of ten dedicated gardeners on site,) the continuing urbanisation of what was once farmland on the fringes of the Township of Leeds, and the changing biodiversity priorities and aesthetic norms for our urban parks.
