The aims of the Group are:

To raise awareness of the plight of swifts in Winchcombe (and the UK) through local events, talks and local media
- To support the making and fitting of swift boxes in the town
- To encourage the fitting of swift (universal) bricks on new builds in the town (and the County)
- To protect & enhance traditional nesting sites in Winchcombe and surrounding areas.
- To build a group of volunteers throughout Winchcombe and surrounding areas involved in locating existing sites & surveying/recording/seeking protection.
