MONDAY WALKS 🥾
Walks and programme subject to alteration at short notice due to bus and train timetable changes and cancellations. Weather conditions and unforseen circumstances may also result in changes to the advertised walks.
We ask that you adhere to the rules of West Leeds Walking Group Est 2004 for your own safety and for the benefit of all.
Do not walk in front of the Leaders or behind the Back Markers.
Please tell the LEADER if you wish leave the walk before the finish.
Pease consider the walk distance and/or terrain to ensure you will be able to manage the walk. There may not be a suitable break off point in some walks if you are unable to complete the distance.
All walks are undertaken at your OWN risk.
Contact the actual walk leader for more information on any walk. You do not need to notify us if you are unable to attend.
If attending for the first time just turn up at the designated meeting point. The walking group will be easily recognised. Ask for Janice the PR Officer who takes a register of names for each walk.

1 July AW - Old Farnley to White Rose - Tracks/paths 2 Stiles 4 Miles
Meet at The Headrow opposite Argos. Bus no 42 departs at 10.30.
8 July BM/BS/DM - Guisley/Menston Circular - Fields and countryside walk
Meet at Leeds Bus Station. Bus no 33 departs at 10.30. Return bus no 33 at 26 and 56 mins past the hour.
15 July GB/AB - Ilkley Circular - Easy paths riverside and woods.
Meet at Leeds Railway Station. Train departs at 10.33. Return train at 13.10 and every half hour.
22 July JC - Bramley to Horsforth - Easy paths woods and hill
Meet at Bramley Centre outside the Halifax Bank at 10.30. Walk from the Centre to Horsforth. Return bus 33/34.
29 July - MD/JM - Oakwell Hall Nature Trail - Woodland Walk
Meet at Leeds Bus Station. Bus no 229 departs at 10.35.
Return bus 254/255 from Whitehall Raod every 20 mins.
5 Aug AW - Methley to St Adians - Tracks -paths -Bird reserve then catch the bus to Castleford
Meet at Leeds Bus Station. Bus no 140 departs at 10.33. Various buses for return.
12 Aug - AB/GB - Scholes to Crossgates - Flat walk - Footpaths/Roads
Meet OUTSIDE Leeds Bus Station. Bus no 64 departs at 10.38.
Various buses for return.
19 August - CS - Addingham to Ilkley - Flat riverside walk - scenic views
Meet at Leeds Railway Station. Train departs at 10,33 arrives Ilkley 11.01. The bus 62 to Addingham.
Return train from Ilkley at 10 and 40 mins past hour.
2 Sep - AW - Gildersome Green to Morley - Tracks and paths.
Meet at Leeds Bus Station. Bus no 229 at 10.35.
Return bus 51/52 regular.
9 Sep - CS - Harewood Estate - Tracks and paths. Steep in parts with uneven ground - 4 miles.
This is a more challenging walk so please bear in mind before attending.
Meet at Leeds Bus Station. Bus no 36 at 10.25.
Return bus 36 every 10 mins.
16 Sep - JC - Pudsey - Easy paths. Walk starts from Pudsey Bus Station.
Meet at Armley Leisure Centre, Bus no 4 from Tong Road 10.30 approx.

23 Sep - MD/JM - Rodley to Horsforth - Canal and river paths,
Meet at Leeds Bus Station. Bus no 60 at 10.30.
Return bus 33/34 from Horsforth Town Street.
30 Sep BM/BS/DM - Tadcaster Circular - Fields River Woods
Meet at Leeds Bus Station. Bus 840 at 10.45.
Return bus 840/843 every half hour back to Leeds for lunch.

This is a 3.5 mile walk.
Meet OPPOSITE the Corn Exchange. Bus no 51/52 at 10.37.
Return bus X84 at 1.30 and every 30 mins.

OUR AREA REMAINS IN THE HIGH TIER WITH FURTHER RESTRICTIONS IN THE NUMBER OF HOUSEHOLDS MIXING INSIDE AND IN PUBLIC SPACES AND PARKS ETC. WEF 5.11.2020 NATIONAL LOCKDOWN. WALKS REMAIN SUSPENDED UNTIL GOVERNMENT LEGISLATION ALLOWS NORMAL ACTIVITIES TO RESUME .
