The allotment site was given over to the Association and the plotholders in August 2010. The site was a former farming field covered in couch grass and other plants.
People began work on making their plot in a variety of ways. Some chose to strim and rotivate, others to dig. Many people planted crops as soon as they could while others are waiting for the main growing season.
