We know that building a tidal sea pool is a bold and ambitious vision. This project will be transformational for Scarborough and will help restore our reputation as the first and best seaside resort in the UK.
Over the next 12 - 18 months our target is to raise £200,000 this is for the costs of the specialist technical surveys, marine engineers and architects needed to get us to planning permission. The ultimate fundraising goal for the construction of the pool is £5 million.
We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) and run totally by volunteers, which means all donations go towards the project costs. The grants we apply for are often restricted to specific items and we have so far been funded through the Inspire grant fund. We are actively applying for many other grants and will publish updates when we are successful.
