fundraising

We receive no funding from Government or local Councils and we therefore need to find money from other sources.

Local groups – Lions, Rotary, Round Table and Masonic Lodges etc. are very generous and we also receive donations from members of the public.  The Rayleigh Lions group have supported us since we started - 40 years ago!!

Cake sales - we have held these at our local WI Hall in Rochford and also at Rayleigh Methodist Church and some of our volunteers have held their own sales to help us.

Collecting – outside supermarkets and doing street collections is a good way to spread the word in our local area – and make some money!

Third Party Recordings – local groups such as Southend in Sight (formerly Southend Blind Welfare Organisation (http://www.southendinsight.org.uk/) ask us to provide audio recordings of their newsletters and information leaflets.

We have also produced an audio leaflet for Southend Hospital's Audiology Department.  We provide the expertise and facilities and invoice them for our time.
