We worked with The Highland Council to upgrade the children's play park at Loch Nevis Crescent in Mallaig (opposite the Fire Station - postcode PH41 4QJ).
It was officially opened in September 2022, by Maiya, who had designed the winning logo for the newly renamed 'Island View Play Park. Although the project was taken forward under the auspices of the Road to The Isles Facilties Group, it was led by Catherine Young and Vivienne MacDonald; who worked hard to raise funds, canvas the views of the local community, including visiting local Primary Schools to get the views of those who would be using the Play Park, and liaise with The Highland Council so that ongoing maintenance of the park could be assured.
As well as a range of equipment for younger children, there is also a 'trim trail' for older children.
We kindly request that no dogs are allowed in the play park, and that any dog mess around the area is picked up and deposited in the bins available.
