The upcomng talk on Wednesday 6th May 2026 will be the last of the current season,.which will restart in September.
As before, the Society will be mounting an exhibition at the Literary Institute on Saturfay 11th July for the Annual Town Festival .
The May talk is a welcome return by Dr. Jill Eyers, well-known geologist, archaeologist and author..Expect an enthralling end to the season, telling the story of The Chilterns,their landscape and people. One might be tempted to add " since the beginning of time", but lawyers amongst the audience would question that, since it is defined in Common Law as being 3rd September 1189. Dr. Eyers will delve beyond that!
