This year's Annual Reunion Dinner will be held on Friday 16th November and on the third Friday in November in future years. The price has been held at £20 per head and will include wine on the table courtesy of Tony Slaney's legacy.

To book your place all you need to do is confirm to Monty Smith on montague10@btinternet.com that you plan to attend and turn up on the night. Payment will be collected on the tables during the course of the evening. The bar will be open from 6 30pm and dinner will be served at 8 00pm. Tables can seat between seven and ten people and if anyone can put a table together that will be a great help.

Please let us know if you have vegetarian or other dietary requirements.

This year's president is Richard Rice, who was a pupil at The John Roan School from 1975 to 1982, with Doctor Taylor as Headteacher. He went on to Southampton University and having decided on a career in teaching Richard returned to London and did his teacher training at Goldsmiths College. He then joined Deptford Green School where he spent much of his career and worked closely with Des Malone who many of us will remember subsequently became a very successful head of the John Roan School. Richard joined Des at John Roan in 2010 and left in 2016 when the new head decided to reduce the number of senior staff and, like many of us in similar circumstances, he decided that this was his chance to try something new. Richard currently serves as a governor on the Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group which is responsible for delivering the best possible NHS services to the residents of Greenwich and other areas.

His guest of honour will be Claire Flynn, a long serving Assistant Head at John Roan, who is known to some of us. Both Claire and Richard are accomplished public speakers and we hope to have the current Headteacher or a representative in attendance so we should get a good idea of the current situation of the school.
