Knebworth awarded Plastic free community status
We are delighted to report that Plastic free Knebworth have now achieved their first goal of getting plastic free accreditation for Knebworth.
To achieve this Plastic free knebworth had to get
At least 10 community allies to support the campaign.
Get the Parish council to support the scheme including having one of their members on the plastic free Knebworth organising committee.
Get at least 3 businesses to sign up as "champions" for which they had to be able to show that they have now removed several plastic items with sustainable alternatives.

We are a group of Knebworth residents who have come together to take action for the environment in our local area. This may be by encouraging businesses to use less plastic, sharing information on reduce, reuse and recycling options, swapping surplus home-grown produce, or lobbying for sustainability in local development… We are open to all ideas and people.
