Are experiences and thoughts physical things, or are they something else – and if so, what? Grant Bartley, an Editor at Philosophy Now magazine, argues that thoughts cannot be material things, no matter how you define matter, and therefore that the mind cannot be the brain. But if the mind is not the brain, then what is it?
