"Diary of a Nobody"
Sunday 07 October 2012
19:00 to 21:30
An informal Sunday evening performance of an adaptation by Receiving Earth Productions of this well-loved comic novel by George and Weedon Grossmith, followed by a discussion of some of the questions it raises.
Receiving Earth Productions have been producing small scale touring theatre since 2002. From drama, their first show was an adaptation of Camus' The Fall, through cabaret (A Little Yearning : the songs of Brel, Eisler, Weill & others), through musical theatre (Catching the Sun : a new musical by Tom Armstrong & Stephanie McKnight which premièred at the Guildford Festival ), through revue (Snobs, Nobs & Yobs : A history of British satire), through comedy (The Theatre of Sex), to their current revival of Diary of a Nobody, an adaptation of the classic comic Victorian novel, which received 4 star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
