We are very pleased to welcome as our guest speaker, Greg Artus, a philosophy lecturer at Imperial College, who has a special interest in AI and machine ethics.
Artificial Intelligence – can it be made moral?
AI seems to be taking over the world. Some see it as humanity’s saviour, others fear Armageddon. How can we increase our chances of getting more of the first while avoiding the second?
This talk will consider what AI can and can’t do, what are the dangers and what can be done to mitigate them. How could the thinking of philosophers such as Wittgenstein and the conclusions of moral philosophy, in general, be brought to bear on these issues?
Please enter via the main door at 3 Birchin Lane. If you are likely to be late or the front door is not opened for you, please text nwp@fimc-ltd.com to be admitted.
