The Problem of Subjectivity

Wednesday 30 November 2022
19:00 to 20:30

At 19:00, George Walsh will discuss the problem of subjectivity in Edmund Husserl's 1923/24 Erste Philosophie and its relevance for modern philosophy.

Edmund Gustav Albrecht Husserl (8 April 1859 – 27 April 1938) was the German philosopher and mathematician who established the school of phenomenology. In his early work, he elaborated critiques of historicism and psychologism in logic. In his mature work, he sought to develop a systematic foundational science based on the phenomenological reduction.
