“Taking Offence”

Monday 29 March 2010
19:00 to 20:55

What are the limits of free expression? Is there a distinction between deliberate provocation and principled parody? Is nothing beyond satire? Does a multicultural society require more protection for vulnerable people - or greater commitment to open debate? Join Caspar Melville, author of Taking Offence and editor of New Humanist magazine, and a very special guest comedian (see www.swlhumanists.org.uk for update) to discuss these thorny contemporary issues.

South West London Humanists are hosting this event during 2010 Think-in-Kingston. Places are limited, so booking your place is advisable via info@swlhumanists.org.uk or 07946 465 701
