George Tomlinson on The Philosophy of Marx

Tuesday 03 September 2013
18:00 to 19:30

George Tomlinson, from Kingston University's Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy, will lead a discussion, focusing on the fields of the philosophy of time and history: how Marx thinks about history and how this might lead us to think about time in a fundamentally new manner, how time and temporality constitute a distinct problem for Marx's philosophy of history.  Some short passages (from Marx, from others) will be available for all to read/discuss.

Come along to try our our new venue, Local Hero, the Kingston cafe renowned for the quality of its bacon sandwiches, amongst other things - on Thames Street opposite Halfords, Lakeland etc.
