This week Ian is joined in the virtual studio by Joe Cook musician , poet and all around nice guy.
Joe performs with ska, punk, reggae band lobster as well as folk group Ire-ish. he has played in musical projects across the UK and Europe. Joe also performs and writes spoken word poetry. Through a love of lyricism, hip hop and songwriting,Joe crashed landed in ther Birmingham poetry scene, performing in between bands, the corners of pubs and open mic nights.
Joe works as a music and lyric writing educator, delivering weekly workshops in schools, community centres and pupil referral units across the Midlands. Joe has had his work featured on BBC platforms such as BBC Arts and BBC Radio 4, as well as performing spoken word on BBC Doctors.
Joe`s band Ire-ish also went viral with a Brummie Christmas parody "Fairytale of New Street". Joe has self-released his first spoken word EP "808s & Snowflakes", fusing his love for music with rhymes.
