Volunteer Station Imaging & Audio Promo Producer
Role Title: Volunteer Station Imaging & Audio Promo Producer
Location: Studio-Based (Druids Heath Library Studio)
Commitment: 2–3 hours per week (Studio sessions to be coordinated with show recording times)
About the Role:
Every great radio station needs a signature sound—the catchy jingles, the smooth station IDs, and the high-energy show trailers that make listeners instantly recognize Hope Radio Brum on the dial. We are seeking a creative, sound-loving Volunteer Station Imaging & Audio Promo Producer to join us face-to-face in our studio.
Teamwork is at the absolute center of this role. Instead of working isolated at home, you will be right in the heart of the action at Druids Heath Library. You will sit down with Volunteer Radio Presenters to brainstorm their show themes, step into the booth with our team to record live voiceovers, and collaborate directly with the Daytime and Evening Tech Producers to ensure your custom sweepers sound flawless on our studio playout system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work onsite in the studio to produce creative, high-energy station IDs, audio sweeps, and jingles that reinforce our community brand.
- Collaborate face-to-face with Volunteer Radio Presenters to custom-build their unique show intros, outros, and music beds.
- Turn briefs from the Fundraising & Events Team into punchy 30-second on-air promotional trailers for upcoming community events and fun runs.
- Utilize the studio recording booth to capture crisp, live voiceovers from fellow volunteers, pairing them expertly with copyright-free backing tracks.
- Upload and organize your freshly made jingles directly onto the station's live playout system, training Show Producers on how to trigger them during live broadcasts.
What We Are Looking For:
- A hands-on audio creative who loves working in a lively studio environment and brainstorming face-to-face with other volunteers.
- Comfortable using digital audio editing software (DAW) to stitch tracks, add sound effects, and level volumes.
- A fantastic team player who is patient, encouraging, and excellent at directing fellow volunteers during a voiceover recording session.
- Reliable, organized, and excited to help build the local, recognizable sound of Hope Radio Brum straight from our main mixing desk.
