About the Role:

Smooth daily operations are the bedrock of live radio. We are seeking responsible Volunteer Daytime Duty Station Managers (DSMs) to oversee the station's physical environment and team workflow during the day. Working in pairs (2 DSMs on shift together), you will act as the senior leadership on the ground in the absence of the Station Manager. You will be responsible for unlocking the facility, setting up the space for success, and keeping a watchful eye over the station's safety, compliance, and volunteer coordination until the evening transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Officially open up the station doors in the morning, ensuring the facility is safe, tidy, and fully ready for daytime operations.
• Support the Volunteer Station Receptionist at the front desk, monitoring that all daytime staff, visitors, and guests are fully signed into the guest book.
• Manage the on-site team workflow, ensuring daytime Producers, Presenters, and Researchers are arriving on schedule for their live slots.
• Act as the senior point of escalation for any operational or safety incidents during the day, ensuring logs are entered into the Accident Book if necessary.
• Coordinate a smooth shift handover to the incoming evening crew before departing.
