About the Role:
Can’t make it to Druids Heath Library? Studio 5 brings the microphone to you. Hope Radio Brum is looking for expressive Volunteer Virtual Radio Presenters to anchor our pre-recorded remote shows from home. Operating entirely online through Cleanfeed, you will bring your personality to life over the digital airwaves. You will collaborate closely with your Volunteer Virtual Researcher to review digital script packages and take real-time direction over your headphones from your Volunteer Virtual Show Producer to deliver a seamless, high-quality broadcast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality vocal presentation from a quiet, treated home environment.
- Connect punctually to Studio 5 Cleanfeed sessions using a dedicated microphone and headphones.
- Deliver scripts, remote interview segments, and show features using digital briefing notes prepared by your researcher.
- Adapt smoothly to live direction and verbal cues given by your Volunteer Virtual Show Producer during the digital recording session.
What We Are Looking For:
- A clear, confident speaking voice with an engaging online presence and great digital communication skills.
- Possession of (or willingness to set up) a basic home USB microphone and an isolated, quiet space to record.
- A reliable team player who feels comfortable taking direction through a virtual studio interface.
