About the Role:
Are you someone who loves being out in your local neighbourhood, talking to people, and finding out what is happening on your doorstep? We are recruiting Content Collectors in every ward across South Birmingham. In this role, you will be the boots on the ground for Hope Radio Brum. Your focus is entirely on gathering raw material—recording interviews, capturing ambient sounds at local events, and taking notes on hyper-local news. You collect the raw content, and our writing teams turn it into broadcast-ready material.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the eyes and ears of Hope Radio Brum within your specific South Birmingham ward.

Attend local community events, ward forum meetings, and neighbourhood projects to gather raw information and stories.

Conduct short, casual audio interviews with local residents, volunteers, and community champions using portable recorders or a smartphone.

Upload your raw audio files, interview notes, and contact details to our digital station hub for our writing teams to process.

No prior media experience is needed—we provide full training on how to use portable recording equipment and conduct comfortable interviews.
