The prestigious national Green Flag Award was given to Hatherop Park for the first time in 2007/8.
It was one of the first open spaces in the London Borough of Richmond to receive the award.
Since then, Hatherop Park has been awarded Green Flag status for each consecutive year for the last 13 years.
What is a Green Flag Award?
The Scheme is a benchmark of national standards for parks and green spaces in the UK.
It was first launched in 1996 to recognise and reward the best green spaces in the country. It continues to provide a benchmark against which parks and green spaces are measured. It is also seen as a way of encouraging others to achieve high environmental standards to create excellence in recreational green areas.
