The Community Council can make comments and objections to planning applications if it is thought that these proposed developments will have a negative impact on the quality of life or housing in our locality. This could be for environmental reasons or concerns about parking and other issues in an area that already has a high number of buy-to-let and student flats and limited green space. As consultees in the planning application process, our comments should be taken into account and are open to public view.
Weekly planning applications can be viewed at the council offices or on the council website under planning and environment. Our area is in two wards; George Street/Harbour and Tillydrone/Seaton/Old Aberdeen. If you would like to comment on planning applications, you can view Aberdeen City Council's Guide to Commenting on Planning Applications or email the council direct at pi@aberdeencity.gov.uk or let us know your thoughts if there are issues you'd like to raise through the community council.
