Welcome to the website of The Friends of Osterley Park.
The Friends of Osterley Park is a support group for the National Trust property Osterley Park and House near Isleworth. The Friends raise funds for the property and run a number of activities to increase awareness of other historic buildings, particularly those with links to Robert Adam the architect who "modernised" the Tudor house in the 18th century.
CORONAVIRUS - PLEASE NOTE THE CURTAILMANT OF FRIENDS ACTIVITIES:
The health situation is changing quickly.
National Trust has now closed all properties to the public (the open areas at Osterley are still open but not the house, café.shop or formal gardens).
Taking this into account and the Government recommendation that over 70's self isolate for up to 3 months, the Frineds Committee has decided the following,
The April, May and June Coffee mornings are cancelled. The scheduled talks will be given later this or next year.
The AGM is deferred until later this year
The May and June Coach Trips and London Walks are cancelled
The April coach trip was previously cancelled.
The March visit to Burgh House has just been cancelled
Refunds will be made by post or with the April Newsletter which will be posted out early in April
There may be coach trips, coffee mornings and London visits from late July. This will be advised in the early July Newsletter
The Holiday situation is more complex and those who have booked will be consulted in due course.on the way forward.
Friends of Osterley Park
