Friends of Northcote Nature Reserve (FoNNR) is a constituted group that meets several times a year. The purpose of the group is to support the Northcote Nature Reserve (NNR) initiative through funding applications, volunteering, engagement with the local community and communication of the aims of the NNR.
Our constitution states: The Friends of Northcote Nature Reserve aim to protect and enhance the environment, community and culture of the Northcote Nature Reserve for the benefit of the neighbourhood.
All members of the group have roles in helping to forward the project, ranging from admin to publicity.
WHO WE ARE
FoNNR is a local volunteer group, including residents from the Hounslow and Richmond sides of the river as well as other local community groups and schools.
The project is led by Hounslow residents and the London Borough of Hounslow, who have been working with residents on the Hounslow and Richmond sides of the river as well as a number of partner organisations including the Environment Agency, London Wildlife Trust, Crane Valley Partnership, Habitats & Heritage (previously South West London Environment Network - SWLEN), FORCE (Friends of the River Crane Environment) and the Tidal Crane Association.

We welcome anyone who is interested in the creation of this new nature reserve, which is very much a community project. For more information please contact Vanessa Smith.
