Thanks to a successful bid for Hounslow Community funding we have been able to produce our first proper printed leaflet ... a flyer telling local residents more about the Northcote Nature Reserve and encouraging them to take our free Membership. This helps us keep residents in touch with developments and arrange volunteering events during the year. We are doordropping the flyer to local residents living on, or near the NNR and copies have also been delivered to local schools and libraries.
We have also made two further, recent funding bids.
One is for Grow Wild, an initiative led by Kew Gardens encouraging communities to change lives and transform spaces through native UK wildflowers and fungi. For more information see www.growwilduk.com
The other is for CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) funding through which developers make a contribution to the funding of local community projects.
We will let you know how we get on with both of these when we hear back.
