FaithWorks is funded by Fast Track Cities, an NHS initiative to promote better HIV and sexual health education and services across London. The focus of FaithWorks is within the BAME communities, most specifically Black Christian and Muslim, Jewish. However, our aim is to provide better access to vital knowledge and services across all communities.

The need is clear. In 2018:

  • 61% of new HIV diagnoses in London were from BAME communities
  • A significant proportion of new diagnoses were 'late diagnoses'
  • The median age of diagnoses was 45
