The weekend of 8–9 August 26 saw our annual model train exhibition take place, featuring a wide variety of layouts created by our members, ranging from compact N‑scale displays right up to large G‑scale layouts. It was wonderful to welcome so many exhibitors, and a special congratulations goes to the Ashburton model display. They were the winners of both ‘Best Model Railway (as voted by the public)’ and ‘Best Model Railway' (as voted by the club). Images of their winning layout can be seen by clicking here.

Ellesmere Model Railway Club held its annual open day at Criftins Parish Hall on Saturday, March 21, where club layouts, three guest layouts, and sales stands were on display.

Among the exhibits was Little Knittington, a unique layout featuring hand-knitted buildings and scenery crafted from double-ply wool.

The event also showcased a new 00-gauge layout named Broadchurch, created by club members specifically for loan to the Our Space community hub in Ellesmere.
