"Phillip Mitchell, Mr. Williamson (the Headteacher), David Davis, Nicholas Tricker.  

"David and Nick were friends of Martin (Ost) and lived very close to the Rectory; David in Scarles Croft and Nick on the Howe Green road.  

"Phillip Mitchell was one of Dad's church wardens, a redoubtable ex-army equine vet, and Master of the Essex Hunt. He lived at Kilchurn. Nick's dad was another of Desmond's church wardens". P. Ost.
