A Millennium account of Drymen and district. Contains 11 papers on Drymen Parish Church, renowned residents of Drymen, early rural industry at Gartness, Gateside House, the Govanes of Drumquhassle, Buchanan Parish, Eric Liddell’s Strathendrick forebears and Drymen in wartime. Papers were written by Jim Leiper, Walter and Carol Hemfrey, Jean Bowman, Jenny Oswald and Alison Brown. 156 pages. Price £11
Buchanan Castle, the military years, 1939-1948, by Clair Calder. The Castle was requisitioned as a military hospital during World War II. Perhaps its most famous patient was the Deputy Leader of the Nazi Party, Rudolf Hess, who was treated there following his unexpected to flight to Britain in 1940. 48 pages. Price £10
The history of Croftamie School, by Ailsa Stirling, with contributions from Kitty McWilliam and Annie Miller. Ailsa was the last Head Teacher of the school, which closed in 2007 after educating the local children for 100 years. Croftamie School was built to replace the schools at Kilmaronock and Finnich Toll. For the last ten years it was a nursery school. 58 pages. Price £4

The poems of Sam Henry, the Drymen poet. Sam Henry was a house painter and amateur poet – some of his poems were published in the Stirling Saturday Observer. He was also an artist and painted scenes of Drymen. He was born around 1854 and died in 1909. His known poems were collected together by Mary Bruce and Jenny Riddle in 2000, and published with biographical notes by the History Society in 2017. 94 pages. Price £9
