If you live in Drymen or surrounding areas, we'd love you to become a member of Drymen History Society.
We arrange an annual programme of illustrated talks which are held on the fourth Thursday of the month, beginning in September to April, excluding December. All talks are held within Drymen Village Hall, Main Street, Drymen and start at 7:30pm.
All of our speakers are experts in their chosen subject, and give interesting talks accompanied by a slide show.
Membership has again been held at £10, which really is great value for 7 meetings. Visitors are welcome to attend our talks, for £3 per talk per visitor.
You can become a member of Drymen History Society by either:
- Setting up a standing order for £10, payable to Drymen and District Local History Society Account no. 00905848 Sort Code: 80-12-48. Please use your name as the reference (so we know who has paid us). Please also email your name, address and telephone number to us, or send us the completed membership form.
- Completing the membership form and bring a printed copy and a cheque for £10 payable to Drymen and District Local History Society, to the meeting at which you wish to join/renew your membership.
If you don't want to become a member of Drymen History Society but you would still like to support us in keeping the history of Drymen alive, please consider sending us a donation. Our bank account details are listed above. Please also send us your name, so we can acknowledge your kind and generous donation (don't worry, we won't reveal the amount).
