Gloria's Chilli Chicken

Ingredients

1 whole chicken cut into pieces or 6 filleted chicken thighs
10 tbsp soya sauce
5-10 green chillies
½ – 1 tsp sugar
½” ginger ground to a paste
5 cloves garlic
1 cup water

Cooking Steps
  1. Cut the chicken into pieces and rub with the ginger and garlic paste.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and when very hot add the soya sauce and green chillies.
  3. Add the chicken and fry for 5 mins in the sauce.
  4. When the chicken pieces are browned and coated in the sauce add 1 cup of water and cook until the chicken is tender.
  5. Add the sugar and stir well.

Serve with plain boiled rice or noodles.
