Dedham Carpet Bowls Club operates from the Sports Club on Duchy field in Dedham.
Dedham Carpet Bowls Club was formed in 1993. We currently have around 15 members and would like to increase that number, our constitution allows for a maximum of 40 members. Bowling sessions are held on Tuesday evening (7pm to 9pm) in the Sports Club. The club participates in Essex County Carpet Bowls Association (ECCBA) league games during the Winter and Summer as well as taking part in and running various competitions.
Our major annual competition is the Peggy Brooks Memorial competition which usually takes place in September when 20 teams compete for the Rose Bowl Trophy. The Competition which took place on the 8th September 2019 was the 18th year of the competition. Unfortunately this was the last year of the competition. After being out of action since March 2020 because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, we shall be back in action on Tuesday 31st September at 19:00.
