We hold monthly indoor meetings in the Upper Room at St Mary's Church Rooms, Chesham (except for August) These are usually in the form of an illustrated digital presentation from a biodiversity expert. The meetings provide the opportunity for members and visitors to exchange information about local flora and fauna and the management of our environment.
Field meetings are monthly from March to December, except for August. These are in the form of walks in special areas of natural history interest where we may record the species seen.
Coach trips are organised on an occasional basis and are announced at indoor meetings and shown on our programme of forthcoming events.
Records of local natural history are kept and sent to the appropriate record centre. If anyone would like to email me an article that they think would be of interest to our members, it will be reviewed and if suitable published under the heading 'Members Contibutions'.
Our membership year runs from May to April the following year and is currently £12 p.a. but visitors are always welcome. There is an additional charge of £2 for members and £3.50 for non-members at each indoor meeting,
The 'field meetings' are free to attend, although donations to drivers in our car-sharing scheme are welcome.
