Visit to Trellech, Monmouthshire - 28th July 2018
Twenty members of the Society had a fascinating trip to Trellech, the highlights of which were a very informative guided tour around the archaeological site, enthusiastic and helpful excavators and interesting practical demonstrations (not to mention the delicious cakes in the refreshment tent!).

After leaving the site we strolled to Harold's Rocks and medieval St Nicholas' Church before having lunch at the Lion Inn (built in 1580). After lunch we visited the Tintagel Ironworks enroute back to Clevedon. The following images record our day trip:
