With the recent easing of lockdown restrictions and re-opening of shops and businesses, we expect to see more people visiting our town centres and high streets over the coming weeks.
People visiting Braintree or Sudbury may start to see a number of physical changes to help keep customers safe including (see poster) and signage to remind people how to shop safely and responsibly.
Individual shops may also implement their own measures to ensure safe queueing, so please respect these measures that are put in place.
We are reminding those who visit to:
Keep a safe distance apart while queueing and shopping
Do not touch anything that you are not purchasing
Please wait your turn to keep everyone safe
Avoid cash and pay contactless where possible
Wash or sanitise hands regularly, and thoroughly once home
Where social distancing is not possible, consider wearing a face covering. Advice on how to wear and make face coverings is available on the government website.
