Forthcoming Memories days

Dates of forthcoming memories days which take place on "coffee and cake" mornings in Bonby village hall between 10:30 and 12:30 included

  • Thursday 12th December 2024 where there will be a display of photos about  "Winter Weather in and around the village".

 

14th November 2024 

"Memories Day" took place in the village hall with a display of old newspaper articles about the village and its people.

 

12th September 2024 & 10th October 2024

"Memories Day" took place in the village hall with many locals interested in the photo albums displayed. These were all albums from the collection of Norman Smith. More will be displayed at the next "Memories Day" will take place on the morning of Thursday 14th November 2024 in the Village Hall between 10:30 & 12:30.

 

31st July 2024 

The Bonby History Group are starting an Oral History Programme, where a number of villagers will be recorded being interviewed about their memories of the village. 

 

11th July 2024

The next "Memories Day" will be on the morning of Thursday 12th September 2024 in the Village Hall between 10:30 & 12:30 The theme will be pictures from the collection of Norman Smith..

 

7th July 2024 - was a great sucess

The two "youngest" bells in St Andrews church in Bonby are 300 years old this year having been cast in 1724. A celebration ring took place for an hour. A history display was available in the church and during the afternoon refreshments were available in the church.

The display continues to be available in St Andrews church during the coming months.
