The Allotment Office is trying to estimate the Amount and types of rubbish on the allotments to see if its feasible to assist with the high levels of wast prevalent on the plots.

Please answer the questions to the best of your ability, and this will help identify the severity of the problem.

Norwich City Council are looking at how to remove all the tyres from the allotments.

As you will know, the tyres will degrade over time releasing toxins into the enviroment. In addition stagnant water also lays around in the tyres for pests to breed and harbour diseases. It is therefore in everyones interest for these to be disposed of.

Under the waste restrictions currently, (Rule10.5) Tyres may not be brought onto the allotment and existing tyres must be registered.

Please answer the questions on the registration so your existing tyres can be registered, and enable the council to guage the scale of the problem.
