Community Centenary Garden Work Party

Saturday 29 March 2025
10:00 to 14:00

Your association needs you!

On the 29th March we will be having a community work day on the Associations Centenary Garden.

The story so far :-

The scouts have cleared the site of rubbish and waste.

The plans have been finalised and as part of the gardens design, it's proposed to have espaliered fruit trees on the borders of the plot. Beneath the trees will have demonstration planting etc.

Norwich City Council have kindly donated the treated posts and they were delivered this morning.

The next stage :-

On the work day, we need to finish levelling the site, and put the posts in situ - there is 18 to go in!

We need people to help with levelling the ground ahead of rotovation.

If you are able to bring barrows, rakes and spades that would be great too!

We need people to help use a soil auger to drill holes then use a post driver to get the posts sunk.

Are you able to spare some time on the 29th March between 10.00 and 14.00 ?

We'd love to see you. Refreshments provided.

Then we can get one with developing the Centenary Garden for all plot holders to use and for the association to hold social events on in the future.
