The Baines School FPA AGM
This was held at 2:30pm on 18th April 2026. This year we have changed the layout of the AGM with all attendees sitting around a large table so that all can take part in the proceedings. A good discussion was held about the future of the FPA. The headteacher agreed to set up a mapping document to show the involvement of the FPA in school events. It was agreed that the FPA would be more involved in school events and that there would be a number of these smaller events culminating in a large annual event.

The President Designate is Claire Docherty. Claire is the Headteacher of the school. She will take up her role in April 2028.
As for the President elect no one has to date taken up the position.
The Website and Newsletter
The current president administers the website and produces the newsletter. From 2026 the incoming President will not be asked to take over the running of these elements unless they so wish, In future years it is hoped that administrators can share the task.
