Annual Gathering 2025

The Annual gathering took place recently.  this was a really good event held in the old school. Attendence however is fally although we had 19 present at the event. I the next few weeks the committee will be looking at how we can change the Annual Gathering and attract new people. The school catered again this year and as always the food was great and a good time was had by all.

The food was served in the year 11 common room from new servers and heated food trolleys.  These were bought from the proceeds of the school piano.

During the even the school's Duke of Edinburgh's Award, which the FPA sponsors had chance t talk to the attendeees about their award and what we have purchased for them.  I was told that the Director f the award in the NW had recently visited the school and was improssed by what the FPA were doing to help the DofE in the school.  They are going to use some of this sponsorship as case studies.   

I would like to thank:

Claire Docherty (Headteacher) of the school for allowing us permission to hold the annual Gathering in the School and for doing a sterling job on the day

The students from the DofE 

Paul and Ailsa Bamber who helped set up the bar 

The caretaking staff who did a great job before the event by setting up and during the event

The members who turned up fo this great event

And last but not least Sally, the chef and her team who put on a fantastic feast
