SOLAR FARM PLANNING MEETING

WEDNESDAY 21st JANUARY 7:00PM EPPING FOREST COUNCIL CHAMBERS

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT

To all residents of Theydon Mount

The planning application for Thrift Solar Farm on land to the east of Tawney Common will be heard by the planning committee at EFDC in a meeting at the council offices this Wednesday starting at 7pm.

Theydon Mount Parish Council has made written representations on your behalf to the Council objecting to the application on several grounds but emphasising the visual impact that the development will have on the countryside which is in plain sight from our parish.

We also highlighted the fact that the application has been made without any provision for connection to the National Grid. Connection will almost certainly be to the sub station near Thornwood which will involve substantial disturbance of the highways in our parish and beyond.

Stapleford Tawney Residents Group and Stapleford Tawney Parish Council have prepared robust objections to the scheme and will be represented at the meeting. TMPC has submitted a request to be heard given the close proximity and impact of the site to our parish but despite repeated requests we have been refused the opportunity to speak by the Democratic Services division of EFDC.

Despite this, it is hoped that residents will show their support to our neighbouring parish and residents by attending the meeting.

Many thanks for your support

TMPC
