Forum Success and Next Steps!
We're thrilled to announce that our recent forum on building empowering workshops for African and Caribbean women affected by gender-based violence was a tremendous success! We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated and contributed to the insightful discussions.
The feedback we received from the forum was overwhelmingly positive. Participants found the presentation informative, with many expressing that the statistics shared were eye-opening and unknown to them previously. Additionally, we heard valuable suggestions that such forums should be held regularly to share relevant information about gender-based violence within our community.
In light of this positive response, we're excited to announce that TASS will be hosting another forum on Friday, May 17th, 2023, from 7pm to 8pm. This event will be open to the public, and details will be available on our events calendar for registration.
It's important to note that this forum isn't solely for those who have experienced gender-based violence or trauma. Rather, it's an opportunity for all members of the African and Caribbean community to share their lived experiences and insights. Your voices matter, and together, we can work towards creating a safer and more supportive community for everyone.
Thank you once again for your participation and support. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and making a meaningful impact together.
