Councillor comments:

  • Speaking of SSRA, Cllr Ryder-Mills said: "they have been during Covid a source of a lot of support for some of the initiatives going on on the Cambridge Road Estate, which is nearby as well. They are a fairly tight organisation in my opinion."
  • Cllr Wehring described us as "a fledgling residents' assocation in Norbiton looking to do good things in the local area."

Local thanks:

  • In April 2021 fellow Norbiton community groups One Norbiton and CREst awarded SSRA a commendation certificate for 2020/21 to thank its members for helping support the Tuesday Lunch Group and pop-up pandemic food bank.
  • CREst also thanked SSRA volunteers in an interview with Kingston Nub News about the Piper Hall food bank initiative.
  • In August 2023 Kingston Council used SSRA as an example of successful play street activity and quoted participants here
  • In Autumn 2023 SSRA helped inspire a new community beer at the Park Brewery
