About the Ribchester Local History Society

Aims and Objectives

  • To provide a forum for those with an interest in the history and environment of Ribchester and the surrounding area.
  • To undertake research and report on particular aspects of past village life, and to record the memories of those who live within the parish boundaries.

Membership

Membership of the Society is open to anyone with an interest in the history of Ribchester and its hinterland. Membership fees are payable annually, and entitle members to attend all meetings of the annual season from September to May. Meetings are normally held in the Ribchester Village Hall. 

Visitors

Visitors are welcome to attend Society meetings on payment of a flat fee per meeting (see below).

Meetings are normally held in the Ribchester Village Hall, Riverside, Ribchester, PR3 3XS, at 8:00pm, unless otherwise advised.

Accessibility

There is wheelchair access at the Ribchester Village Hall. If you require assistance please contact a member of the committee.
