Based in North Kingston occupying a secluded corner of an allotment site Parkfields offers a space for people to meet, learn to grow food, create habitats for wildlife, observe nature and play. It is a Permaculture design in progress.
As well as an orchard the site has a polytunnel, food growing, skill share and natural play spaces. Volunteers worked to reclaim a bramble and bindweed covered site to create a space for connecting with Nature, learning and play for the local community.
Volunteer sessions:
Saturday 10-12pm (monthly) working alongside Good Gym carrying out larger tasks as a group
Wednesday 2-4pm (weekly) with a focus on gardening and conservation activities.
Seasonal activities and workshops are programmed throughout the year.
