Have your say on Shire Hill Hospital
Wednesday 01 November 2017
18:00 to 20:00
People locked out of a Glossop public meeting on the possible future of Shire Hill Hospital will have another chance to voice their concerns.
NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group has agreed to hold a second one in Glossop.
This time, it will mean more people getting a chance to ask questions on options which could include shutting Glossop’s only hospital.
There was anger at Bradbury Community House last month when doors were shut 20 minutes before the meeting was due to start.
The main hall had reached its capacity of 90 people, which left dozens outside struggling to hear what was going on.
As a result, NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group decided to hold another public meeting in the town.
This time, it’s at Glossopdale School on Talbot Road – where the capacity is much greater – from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, November 1.
You can have your say on the future of Shire Hill to the CCG by filling in a consultation form at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/intermediatecareconsultation.
The public consultation is open until 15 November and you can take part by clicking here or pick up a paper copy at local GPs across Glossop and Tameside.
You can also write to NHS CCG at NHS Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group, Dukinfield Town Hall, King Street, Dukinfield, SK16 4LA or email tgccg.communications@nhs.net.
