A Popular Event Makes Its Return
We are delighted to be bringing back the Club Sim Pairs Competition to The Monday Bridge Club.
This popular event gives members the opportunity to play the same hands as players in clubs across the country, with results compared both locally and nationally.
Whether you are interested in seeing how your partnership performs on a national stage, or simply want to enjoy an evening of bridge with friends, Sim Pairs offers something for everyone.
What Is a Sim Pairs Competition?
During a Sim Pairs event, clubs around the country all play the same boards. Once play has finished, the results from participating clubs are combined to produce a national ranking.
As well as your normal Monday Bridge Club result, you will be able to see how your partnership compares against players from clubs throughout the country.

Expert Hand-by-Hand Analysis
One of the most enjoyable aspects of Sim Pairs comes after the play has finished.
Every player will receive a detailed handout analysing each board, showing the recommended contracts, likely results and expert commentary on how the hands could have been played.
It is always fascinating to discover that your brilliant line of play was either exactly right... or perhaps not quite as brilliant as it felt at the table!
A Little Club History
Long-standing members may remember that The Monday Bridge Club used to run Sim Pairs events in years gone by. We are pleased to be reviving the tradition and giving members the opportunity to enjoy this unique format once again.
