This style of photography is about stripping a subject down to its essence. It emphasises sparseness and careful composition, shying away from an overabundance of colour, patterns or information. It makes use of negative space, lines and shapes and either monochrome or limited colour palette (use a colour wheel for complementary colours which can be striking). Less is more but there needs to be careful composition to make the image interesting.
